The Slate resort on Nai Yang Beach, northwest of Phuket, Thailand, aims to further tap into the domestic market by accepting dogs.
Guests staying in a 1 Bedroom Pool Villa, 2 Bedroom Family Pool Villa or 2 Bedroom Pool Villa are now permitted to bring up to two dogs weighing up to 7.5kg.
During their stay, the pampered pups will be able to relax in their beautiful villa, sleep in their own comfy dog bed, which will be provided by The Slate, and even cool off in the private pool.
Dogs are now allowed to stay with guests of The Slate Phuket
Food and water bowls will be set up in the room, daily dog treats will be provided when getting ready for the night, and The Slate will give each canine guest an exclusive, signature dog tag for their leash.
Hotel will charge THB 1500++ (plus tax and service charge) per dog, per night.
A series of “Furry Services”, including a nutritious gourmet menu, as well as dog walking and sitting services, are available at an additional cost.
For complete peace of mind, veterinary services will be available on call.
“At The Slate, we understand that for many people, their dogs are an important part of their family,” said hotel co-founder and owner Krystal Prakaikaew Na-Ranong. “We want to make every customer’s trip easier and more stylish with their stuffed animal. Our pool villas will allow pets to relax and live a life of luxury – swim in their private pool, dine from a gourmet menu and even proudly wear The Slate name tag! We look forward to welcoming our four-legged friends to Phuket this summer.”
To ensure the comfort of all other guests, The Slate has created house rules for its canine clientele. All dogs must be free of fleas or ticks, their vaccinations must be up to date and they must be kept on a leash when not in the villa.
Poop bags will be provided for owners who need to deal with the mess of their pets, and while The Slate likes all the poops to be happy and playful, they also need to be relatively quiet and under control.
Pets are not allowed in public areas of the resort such as pools, restaurants, Coqoon Spa and fitness center.
Editor’s note: Page modified on May 7 to increase the price from 1,500 THB to 1,500 ++ (plus tax and service charge) per dog per night.
