Thailand launches 10-day festivities to liven up Phuket, Phang-Nga and Krabi


The 10-day event in Phuket, Phang-Nga and Krabi under Amazing Thailand SHA security and travel measures.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), is organizing the Thailand SHA SHA SHA @Andaman: The Memory @ Phuket, Phang-Nga and Krabi, from September 24 to October 3, 2021.

This 10-day event, which takes place daily from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., takes place at popular tourist spots in 3 provinces: Phuket: Old Phuket Town, Cape Phrom Thep and Kata Beach; Phang-Nga: in Ko Yao Yai, and Krabi: in Ao Nang Landmark.

Conducted in accordance with the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) standard, the event is open to all visitors, including Thais, expats and international travelers as part of the Phuket Sandbox and 7 + 7 Extension programs.

Activities include “Light in Memory” decorations of popular landmarks including Old Phuket Town, Phuket Thaihua Museum, Promthep Clock Tower, Peranakan Nitat Museum, Ekwanit Office Building, Sang Shrine Tham, the Sino-Portuguese buildings and the Chinpracha house; “Sports in memory” at Kata Beach; various DIY stations; as well as shopping opportunities for local crafts and authentic products.

Sports or leisure enthusiasts are welcome to go kayaking, paddle boarding and yoga classes, as well as enjoying live music and entertainment from popular Thai artists every Friday, Saturday and Sunday; such as Two Popetorn, Nont Tanont, Kong Saharat, Pop Pongkool, Ton Thanasit, Zom Marie, New Jiew, Preaw Kanitkul, Lula, Kacha, Joey the Voice and Ice Saranyu.

TAT would like to remind all visitors to the event to follow safety and health measures; such as, being fully vaccinated and having a negative result from a hospital RT-PCR or ATK test no more than 72 hours before presenting, wearing a mask at all times throughout events, maintaining social distancing and register via Thai request from Chana.
