Thai prime minister calls on authorities to relocate power lines underground

The Prime Minister called on the authorities to step up their efforts to relocate power and communication lines underground.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha handed the directive to the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), asking it to beautify the landscape along several of the country’s main roads.

The move caught the attention of Russell Crowe, a Hollywood actor who developed an affection for the Kingdom while filming his new film in Thailand. He retweeted the news of the prime minister’s decree, hailing the landscaping initiative.

He also tweeted that he missed Thailand, while also offering a mini guide to various sights, especially restaurants, street markets and food stalls.
