Shack BBQ is about to reopen in Lubbock

I know I’ve said it before, but this time it looks like it’s really happening. BBQ enthusiasts in Lubbock rejoice, as The Shack BBQ is returning very soon after being closed for a year.

The Shack BBQ, which closed in June 2020 at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, is returning, but with new owners. Former owners Kyle and Kelly Farris sold the building and proceeds earlier in the year after months of searching for someone to take over the business.

In April, it looked like The Shack was getting closer to reopening, but ran into a few issues along the way. Plus, they’ve had to hire new staff, and if you’ve been around Lubbock lately, everyone seems to be hiring.

But now it looks like The Shack is set to reopen under new ownership. According to a Facebook post, The Shack BBQ will reopen this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guess what all of you ????? Finally we are ready to open !!! We are very sorry for the delays and disappointments. We are so excited to be back. We cannot express to you how much we appreciate each other’s patience and continued love and support !!! Lubbock you are all amazing !!! Come see us on Friday June 11 for the opening day. We will operate Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We can’t wait to see everyone !!!!

I can’t wait to stop and try some of the ribs and brisket again. I also hope that they can extend their opening hours and days once things get started.
