World leaders are due to travel to New York for the 77th United Nations General Assembly which begins on September 13.

The annual meeting will be held at UN headquarters and will see senior officials discuss the annual agenda and global issues.

The 193 member states of the UN will have a platform to address the international community.

The Heads of State will begin their first session next Tuesday. The first day of the high-level general segment will take place on Tuesday, 20 September.
