From the slopes to the sun, there’s no shortage of vacations this winter as the world opens up

Covid has redesigned the holiday card. As of July 19, we can take non-essential overseas travel from Ireland, using a combination of vaccination certificates, tests and proof of immunity.

But where exactly can you go, which destinations remain off-limits, and where are people actually traveling?

First of all, the UK and Europe are wide open. You wouldn’t call it as usual, but the number of passengers is increasing, new flights are coming back, and the travel systems are largely functioning.
