Majuli: A team of experts has arrived in Majuli to control and rehabilitate the rhino which has been terrorizing the people of Lower Majuli for over a month.
Speaking on the matter, a forest department official said the rhino has been in the Kerela Chapori area for almost a month and a half.
Since the Rhine appeared in the region, it terrorizes the inhabitants.
A person named Madan Das was also killed recently in an attack by the rhino.

To control, tranquilize and rehabilitate the beast, a team of experts from Dibru Saikhowa arrived in Majuli on Wednesday morning.
A team led by Wildlife Trust of India veterinarian Dr Khanin Changmai has been working on ways to reassure or find an alternative solution to return the animal to Kaziranga.
Khanin Changmai said they have launched their operations and deployed drones throughout the region to track the rhino.
They will watch the rhino to see if it can be tranquilized.

During the process, the health of the rhino as well as the topography of the area will be taken into account.
He added that the whole process would take at least a week since clearance or tranquilization orders would be given by the PCCF-WL.
It can be mentioned that the rhino terrorizes the people of lower Majuli and also killed one person in the area on January 30, 2022.
Forest officials said the rhino had entered the human-inhabited area in search of food.
The forest department issued a red alert in the area and people were warned of the rhino.
