In Bang Lamung, a family mourns the loss of a young girl who drowned in a small private swimming pool at a family friend’s house. The incident took place on Wednesday evening as Buri Ram’s family were visiting their friend in the Pattaya area.
The girl was half Thai and half Russian and was 4 years old. The owner of the house in a subdivision in Nongprue is a 27-year-old Thai woman who has requested that her name not be disclosed. She had sheltered his Russian friend and his Thai wife as well as their children whose number was not specified. They had come from Buri Ram to Chon Buri on vacation.
The adults said they were talking inside the house when they noticed the 4-year-old was missing. When they went to pick up the toddler, they were horrified to find his body floating in the small round swimming pool belonging to the house.
Police and rescuers were called to the scene at 8:30 p.m. and arrived to find the girl had been taken out of the water and was lying on the tiled floor next to the pool. They took her to the local hospital, but she was pronounced dead despite the best efforts of medics and medics.
The incident has been lamented as a tragedy by the police in Bang Lamung, but they will still conduct a full investigation into the specific details of the events leading to the deaths of the young girls.
