Pottery around the mall

From September 9, shoppers visiting the Abu Dhabi Mall will be able to experience a bit of the magic of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Celebrate Hogwarts is an interactive Harry Potter-themed experience, offering opportunities to take Snapes, ahem, snaps in some of the saga’s most memorable settings. You’ll also be invited to take part in immersive games (a little Quidditch trick anyone?) and, to separate the Weasleys from the Grangers – a weekend quiz (although you should be on the lookout for those sneaky Lots of Slytherin, guaranteed to have drawings on Dumbledore’s answer sheet).

Ex-sal-ations

Abu Dhabi’s salt lakes took Instagram by storm last year. Bloggers, influencers and onlookers headed to their location near Al Wathba Wildlife Reserve, to capture snaps with the narrow pastel green lakes filled with crystal water lilies. You can find the exact location on Google Maps, but getting there is not easy. Grab an SUV, pack snacks and supplies, tell someone where you’re going, don’t litter, and make sure you’re fueled up. We promise you it’s worth it.

Just common sense

What’s in a name? When it comes to rosewood, not bad actually – it’s a word that evokes knowledge of a rich heritage of well-being and a centuries-old tradition of improving lives and dwelling on pleasure. The spa’s exclusive ‘Sense’ treatment includes a therapeutic blend of massage techniques and the use of heated rosewood sticks throughout the massage. The signature oil, infused with a special blend of Arabian artisan botanicals – including frankincense and oud, has been designed to instantly relax your muscles and support your overall health and well-being. A Rosewood experience under any other name just wouldn’t do…

Total session time: Option 1 — Sixty minutes, Dhs690. Option two – ninety minutes, Dhs820.
